Slate Patio with Rectangular Fire Pit and Teak Chairs Go for a variety of patterns and textures for the pillows that you add to the chic patio piece of furniture. The bench and the pit are both constructed from lots of bricks, while an inground pool contrasts fire with water like nothing else can. The much needed dose of contrast is brought by the grey gravel stones that form the flooring, the mattresses and throw pillows on the bench, as well as the large stones placed inside the fire pit. Right from that rectangular fire pit in the middle to the stunning L-shaped bench that accompanies the pit, everything here is coated with a glossy dose of white paint. It’s going to be extremely hard to resist one self from going gaga over this outdoor setting that pays a wonderful tribute to the magic of white for getting it all done. Patio with White Brick Bench and White Brick Fire Pit Match the rustic appeal of the firepit and the patio floor with an equally rustic set of chairs, further adding the cherry on the cake with a few terra cotta pots with flowers here and there.

Beautifully rustic and loaded with finesse at the same time, this firepit area shared in the below Pin is a truly chic addition to even the simplest of yards that can blend with just about any setting one can think of. Lava Rock I used two 5 gallon buckets full of lava rock that I purchased from the masonry supply yard. Quikrete 3/4" Gravel I used about 7 bags of Quikrete 3/4" gravel for the foundation layer. This rebar frame will keep the different layers of concrete securely bonded to each other.

Wire the horizontal pieces to the vertical pieces so that the horizontal pieces will be embedded in each layer of concrete. Make sure you drive the vertical pieces through the gravel and into the ground so that the ends are at least 3.5" below the top of the wood forms. Use 18" long pieces for the verticals and 36" long pieces for the horizontal pieces. I recommend using a combination of pre-cut 3/8" diameter rebar. I should've purchased 18" long sections for the verticals. Rebar I bought pre-cut rebar in 12" and 36" sections. I followed the directions that came on the mortar clay bag.
